Senator Richard la Drang Blumenthal is a Pathological Liar
Senator Richard Blumenthal (D – CT) is upset that President Trump fired FBI Director Jim Comey; he referred to the firing as a “constitutional crisis.” He needs to acquaint himself with the United States Constitution.
Article II of the U.S. Constitution gives the president the power to “appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States…” The President possesses the constitutional authority to appoint and remove the heads of agencies and departments. Any questions, Blumenthal? Either Blumenthal has no knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, or he is lying about a “constitutional crisis” to endear himself to CNN Fake News and continue the Democrats’ tired narrative that President Trump is a puppet of Vladimir Putin; it’s all of the above. Of course, maybe Blumenthal is ignorant of the particulars of the Constitution because he did several tours of duty in Vietnam.
Blumenthal spent time In Vietnam fighting in the Battles of la Drang, Pleiku, Van Tuong, and Khe Sanh. In 2010, when Blumenthal ran for the U.S. Senate in Connecticut, he referenced his time in Vietnam several times while on the campaign trail (see video below).
In 2008, Blumenthal said the following during a speech:
“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam.”
What we learned is that he lied about his service in Vietnam just as he lied about the “constitutional crisis” that President Trump created by firing Comey.
Blumenthal, a good Democrat, never served in Vietnam, in fact, he did everything possible to avoid fighting for his country in Vietnam. He obtained five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and according to records obtained by The New York Times, he repeatedly “took steps that enabled him to avoid going to war.” Blumenthal never came close to active duty or Vietnam, but in 1970 when his last deferment was in jeopardy, he mysteriously landed a spot in the Marine Reserves that guaranteed he would not have to join the ranks of active duty military and face the prospect of combat action. During his time in the Marine Reserves, he did come under duress while participating in projects like fixing a campground and a Toys for Tots drive; the man is a warrior and national treasure.
Blumenthal is a disgrace to the U.S. Senate, which is not an easy achievement because the Senate is full of immoral, mentally deficient human beings; Warren, McCain, Schumer, Durbin, Harris, Cochran, Graham, Franken, Feinstein, Coons et. al. However, a politician who lies about his “military service” for political gain is in a category by himself.
