Jonathan Gruber Still Thinks You’re Stupid
The primary architect of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), Jonathan Gruber, still thinks you’re stupid. In discussion with Tucker Carlson regarding Obamacare, Gruber came out spewing his arrogance with this salvo in response to polls that show the greater majority of Americans disapprove of the law, “I think Americans just don’t understand what this law’s done for them” (1:10). If you have a negative opinion of Obamacare, your negativity is a byproduct of your stupidity.
If you lost your medical insurance plan through your employer because your employer stopped offering the benefit because the plan was deemed “illegal” or was categorized by Gruber as a”Cadillac” health plan, therefore, required your employer to pay a 40 percent excise tax, it’s a good thing. If you were forced to purchase a health exchange plan that is much worse than the plan through your employer, you know, the $5,000, $10,000 and $15,000 deductibles, you just don’t get it, imbecile, your new plan is better. If you are unable to continue your relationship with your primary care physician because he doesn’t accept your health exchange plan, get over it, moron, your government plan is stellar. Barack Obama said, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it. If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor.” It is entirely possible you are wondering why Obama lied. He didn’t lie; you are just too dull to understand the subtle nuances of his statement, drown yourself immediately, blockhead.
At first, Gruber was unwilling to concede that some people have been harmed by Obamacare, but when Carlson pressed him, he finally acknowledged that there are two groups that have been hurt by the legislation.
Carlson: Are you really saying there are no victims of the law?
Gruber: No, I’m not saying that.
Carlson: So who are the victims?
Gruber: Who has been hurt by Obamacare? Two groups. The wealthiest Americans, the top two percent of Americans who have to pay new taxes, and second, the very healthy individuals who previously benefitted from a discriminatory market.
Evidently, Gruber is suffering from convenient amnesia because almost all of the plans offered by employers were deemed illegal on January 1, 2014, which resulted in 25 million people losing their plans. (It is important to note that when a person loses the medical coverage he paid for through his employer and has to purchase insurance on the exchange, he is counted as an “uninsured” person who was able to get insurance because of Obamacare.) Hold on, they were not harmed because they’ve been freed up to purchase a government plan on the health exchange; they’ll be consumers who have the privilege of entering a government created and controlled market that promises nirvana, relax stupid.
Carlson never mentioned the millions of people who lost health care coverage through their employers, which is odd because Carlson usually does his homework. Carlson failed to mention a critical, obscene aspect of Gruber’s involvement with crafting Obamacare; the money taxpayers paid him.
The Obama administration redistributed approximately $4.3 million of your taxes to Gruber. Obama directed the Department of Health & Human Services (DHS) to reallocate $400,000 tax dollars to Gruber for “consulting” work. The tax dollar giveaway did not end with the DHS. Once the legislation became law, the federal crime syndicate redistributed the following sums to Gruber:
- $103,500 from the U.S. Department of State
- $1,730,000 from the U.S. Department of Justice
- $2,050,000 from the U.S. National Institutes of Health
Gruber wasn’t drinking from the public trough; he was swimming in it! Gruber is a microcosm of the narcissism that infects politicians, bureaucrats, and their cronies; they think they are entitled to your tax dollars and the perks of their offices and bureaucratic positions. You need to shut up and accept Obamacare, stupid.
