The Real ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’ Case
The ‘hands up, don’t shoot’ narrative that was created and disseminated by America’s mainstream media regarding the shooting of Michael Brown by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri has been revealed to be just another liberal ploy to incite riots and divide Americans. There was a police shooting in Fairfax, Virginia on August 29, 2013 that is in fact an incident where a suspect was shot and killed by a police officer while his hands were raised above his head.
The police in Fairfax responded to a domestic disturbance call the day a 46-year-old, unarmed man named John Geer was shot and killed by a police officer named Adam Torres while standing in the doorway of his home. Geer was cooperating with the police and posed no threat when Torres decided he had to shoot him. Geer was very calm unlike Torres who admits that he was fighting with his wife for an hour before arriving at the scene. Torres seems to do a lot of fighting considering he is known to have “anger issues” and has been the subject of four internal affairs investigations.
The six eyewitnesses to the shooting, which includes four police officers, corroborated the above account of the scene. Torres claims, he saw Geer’s hands go toward his waist, so he thought he was going for a weapon. The other officers on the scene didn’t see what Torres saw. Officer Rodney Barnes has told investigators, “When the shot happened his hands were up. I’m not here to throw [Torres] under the bus or anything like that, but I didn’t see what he saw.” Six eyewitnesses and only Torres saw Geer lower his hands?
The shooting of Geer has a racial component, but not the kind Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the DOJ respond to because Geer was white and Torres is Hispanic. We never heard about the case because Geer enjoys ‘white privilege.’ The privilege of being shot and killed by law enforcement, and having his death ignored by the mainstream media, government authorities, and activists. No need for Sharpton and Jackson to travel to Virginia and organize protests/riots. Geer’s ‘whiteness’ also didn’t provide Obama the opportunity to spew an inflammatory statement like: “If I had a brother, he would look like Geer.” Geer’s death did not garner national attention at all.
Despite the shooting of Geer and multiple internal investigations, Torres is still on the job. Why is Torres still on the job despite the overwhelming evidence that he should have been fired and charged with murder? As reported by The New American, the Deputy County Attorney Cynthia Tianti had “counseled the Fairfax police to withhold internal affairs files” from prosecutor Raymond Morrogh. “Morrogh, frustrated by what he saw as obstruction by the police, referred the Geer case to federal prosecutors, where it has remained since January 2014.” I assume Tianti felt the tug of racial solidarity with Torres and in the spirit of LULAC and La Raza decided to cover up the shooting of Geer. I appreciate that Morrogh thought by referring Geer’s case to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) he might obtain justice for Geer and his family, but he was naive to think that Obama’s DOJ would respond to Geer being shot. Obama’s DOJ is about racial vengeance against white people, so Geer’s case doesn’t warrant its attention.
The politically incorrect truth is that police shoot white people far more than they shoot black people. The results of a study conducted by research professors Lois James, David Klinger and Bryan Vila at Washington State University (WSU) titled: Racial and Ethnic Bias in Decisions to Shoot Seen Through a Stronger Lens: Experimental Results from High-Fidelity Laboratory Simulations, show that “there was significant bias favoring blacks where decisions to shoot were concerned.” The study is a follow up to another study conducted by James in which she found that police officers, military personnel, and the general public took longer to shoot black suspects than white or Hispanic suspects. The study also concluded that “participants were more likely to shoot unarmed white suspects than black or Hispanic ones and more likely to avoid discharging their weapons at armed black suspects.” This bears out what Larry Elder recently reported. Elder reported that “In 2012, according to the CDC, 140 blacks were killed by police. That same year 386 whites were killed by police. Over the 12-year period from 1999 to 2011, the CDC reports that 2,151 whites were killed by cops—-and 1,130 blacks were killed by cops.”

The story pushed by Obama’s scribes in the mainstream media is nothing more than snake oil. Police departments are not targeting black people much less shooting them at a rate disproportionately higher than any other race of people.
Obama, Holder, Sharpton, and Jackson are race pimps and con artists carrying out an agenda that is not about justice but racial division that ends with them getting richer and richer while the black people they supposedly care about remain stuck in poor neighborhoods and locked into a welfare system that is an equal opportunity destroyer of lives.
I hope and pray that Geer’s family is doing okay. It is sad that the racial division fomented by the race pimps that inhabit the White House, DOJ, and mainstream media has suspended justice and truth in America in favor of a political agenda that utilizes a strategy of divide and conquer. Geer’s death is screaming for justice, but it is falling on deaf ears; ears that are tuned into racial division as a means to power.
