I’m sure people have moved on from last year’s border crisis that led to Obama making a unilateral decision to allow 290,000 illegal immigrants from Central America to stay in America, but numerous cities and states across America cannot move on because they have to deal with the consequences.
The Obama administration, the most transparent administration in American history, has never revealed where it sent the illegal immigrants. However, thanks to the local chapter of the NAACP in Prince George’s County, Maryland, we know that 2,804 illegal immigrants were sent to Maryland.
A couple of days ago on the Laura Ingraham Radio Show
, Bob Ross, the president of the local NAACP chapter in Prince George’s County, Maryland spoke to Laura Ingraham about the separate schools that have been set up to accommodate the illegal immigrant children in Prince George’s County. The local school board approved via an emergency resolution (an emergency resolution prevents public debate) $14.1 million in funding for the illegal immigrant schools. This despite the $59 million deficit
facing Prince George’s County. The school board is ignoring the fact that the tax dollars of American citizens are funding public schools for people who are not citizens of the United States. The school board is also ignoring the fact that Prince George’s County is broke.
The following is an excerpt from the discussion between Laura Ingraham and Bob Ross:
Ingraham: The cost of educating a student in Maryland– per pupil in the public schools–it costs $24,723. During the last 15-month period, 2,804 illegal immigrant kids were dispersed across Maryland. Almost $68 million was spent on illegal immigrants’ education in Maryland. What is your reaction to that?
Ross: I don’t know how we’re going to handle this, the cost factor.
Ingraham: Why isn’t the national NAACP not kicking up a huge public fuss on this amnesty push by the president?
Ross: I can’t speak for the national. Each local organization has its own charter, and this is a local issue. We’re fighting it based on our demographics, but we’re going to need a lot of support. We need to stand up for what’s right. We’re not going to the back of the bus again, we’ve already gone that route.
Ingraham: Do you think these kids should be sent back home, or should they just be educated in all these communities, despite the cost?
Ross: Our kids have dreams too. I want to be real clear about that. They keep talking about the Dreamers, Dreamers, Dreamers. We have dreams also. Every child that is native-born out there has a dream. We should not have to sacrifice for newcomers who have come in and not followed the process.
I agree with Ross that American citizens, white and black, are being ignored in favor of illegal immigrants. The Democrat Party’s courtship of illegal immigrants is nothing more than a power play. Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty is about votes, and votes equal power.
The Democrat Party’s plan is to provide amnesty and billions of your tax dollars to illegal immigrants in exchange for votes. It would not surprise me if there is a voter registration card included in the documents the Obama administration is using to legalize the illegal immigrants. The illegal immigrants, the “Dreamers,” are viewed by the Democrat Party as the final nail in the coffin of the Republican Party, and once they are engaged and voting in national elections, they will ensure that a Democrat will always occupy the White House.
The illegal immigration crisis that continues to plague America and its hard working citizens should prompt groups like the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and the NAACP to join forces to protect the interests of the American people. Ross is correct that American citizens have dreams, but those dreams are being stamped out by the Democrat Party. If we don’t stand together, we will perish separately.
