Barack Obama: Scandals and Indifference

Posted in Bureaucracy3 years ago • Written by Defender Of LibertyNo Comments
The scandal at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is just the latest of a long list of scandals that have plagued the Obama Administration. Obama’s response to the VA scandal was the usual response he gives for any scandal in his administration, which was to claim ignorance instead of acknowledging his failure as the CEO of the federal government.

When Obama claims he didn’t know about the scandal at the VA until watching the news, it is possible that he is telling the truth. Of course, it begs the question as to why he didn’t already know about the problems plaguing the VA since he made the problems at the VA a big part of his platform during his 2008 campaign for the presidency. I guess once Obama won the election, he forgot all about the VA’s problems.

When a scandal breaks in the Obama administration to the point that Obama and his minions can no longer ignore the problems that caused the scandal, Obama immediately goes into helpless spectator mode to deflect criticism and move onto his next fundraiser dinner. It is not that Obama was unaware of the VA’s problems, or the targeting of conservative groups by the IRS, or the DOJ’s plan to sell weapons to Mexican drug cartels, or the Benghazi debacle, he is simply not interested in getting his hands dirty.

Obama views himself as the father of progressivism. He shuns the liberal label for what he considers the more appropriate label of “progressive.” He is not interested in being the CEO of the approximately 529 departments and agencies that make up the federal government. Obama is driven by his ideology, which is why he doesn’t get involved in the operations of the federal government. When the VA scandal broke, Obama was giving a speech at a fundraiser dinner where he emphasized the need to take drastic measures to reverse “global warming” and the need to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” He also took the opportunity to blame the ‘structural’ design of Congress for gridlock. Obama mentioned gridlock because he despises free elections and the separation of powers because they are impediments to his plan to transform America and hasten the end of history. He refuses to familiarize himself with the mundane details of the federal government because he is the one you having been waiting for and he has a mandate from a higher power, himself.

Obama is too busy making history to bother with the details of the government he is supposed to manage. There is nothing glamorous about fixing the VA, so Obama didn’t even attempt it. Obama won the presidential election in 2008, then took up the noble, progressive task of transforming the enter U.S. health care system. The veterans who use the VA for their health care needs are not important to Obama because they do not fit into his plan. Obama wants to make history by fundamentally transforming America and if veterans die because they cannot get appointments to see a physician or Americans have to die in foreign lands such as Benghazi due to the indifference that is the price that has to be paid for utopia; there will be casualties.

A frustrated conservative who is very concerned that America has entered its twilight years. Dan has a B.A. in political philosophy and an MBA with a concentration in finance. He has an honorable discharge from the United States Navy after serving for several years after graduating from high school. Please share this with liberals and RINOs because there is nothing better than upsetting them. The U.S. is no longer a constitutional republic, but rather an oligarchy. We live in a post constitutional America where competing tribes sell their votes for the promise of freebies. America is on the cusp of being lost to Marxists and their army of bureaucrats unless the American people move outside of their comfort zone and get involved the same way Marxists have gotten involved by infiltrating the political, educational, and bureaucratic systems.
