Speaker Ryan Pushed Cromnibus Funding Bill that Betrays Americans
When Congressman Paul Ryan won the election for Speaker of the House, he vowed during the press conference that followed his victory that he would fight for the “working people of America,” but the $1.1 trillion Cromnibus funding bill he worked with Democrats to get approved in the House is a stab in the backs of the American people.
During his acceptance speech, Ryan called on Congress to look after working-class families. “If there were ever a time for us to step up, this would be that time. America does not feel strong anymore because the working people of America do not feel strong anymore. I’m talking about the people who mind the store, grow the food, walk the beat, pay taxes, and raise the family,” Ryan said. However, he has no interest in fighting for anybody but corporate donors and bundlers.

The Cromnibus funding bill Ryan pushed through the House includes a provision that will increase the number of H-2B visas from 66,000 to 250,000 annually. The H-2B visa is for corporations that operate hotels, theme parks, ski resorts, golf courses, trucking companies, landscaping businesses, restaurants, bars, etc. The program is designed to give corporations a legal, expedited way to import foreign workers. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is a solid conservative who is tireless in the fight for Americans who are against unchecked immigration and crony capitalism, and he weighed in on the provision:
These foreign workers are brought in exclusively to fill blue collar, non-farm jobs in hotels, restaurants, construction, truck driving, and many other occupations sought by millions of Americans. The GOP-led Congress is about to deliver Obama a four-fold increase to one of the most controversial foreign worker programs The result will be higher unemployment and lower wages for Americans.
The bill is not just a quid pro quo for campaign contributions, it also approves Obama’s request for unlimited refugee admissions from anywhere he wants, with no restrictions on welfare benefits for the refugees. This part of the bill will ensure that the Syrian “refugees” and other Muslim “refugees” of Obama’s choosing will be given a taxpayer funded, all expense paid trip to America. Once the “refugees” land in America, the Obama administration will issue them green cards that will allow them to access all available welfare programs as long as they live, courtesy of American taxpayers.
Senator Sessions, as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration and National Interest, has repeatedly fought against open borders and unchecked immigration, but to no avail because the overwhelming majority of members of Congress sold out the American people for campaign contributions a long time ago. The following is from a news release issued by Sen. Sessions:
In March, as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, I sent appropriators a list of several dozen provisions for inclusion in our funding bills to improve immigration enforcement and block presidential lawlessness; those provisions were rejected – yet industry’s request for more foreign workers, and the president’s request for refugee funds, were unconditionally approved.
